Convert Excel to CSV and back with full Hebrew support
Convert an Excel file to CSV or a CSV to an organized Excel file, complete with a data preview before downloading. The tool reads XLSX, XLS, CSV, and TSV files. The downloaded CSV includes a BOM marker at the start, which forces Excel to display Hebrew correctly instead of gibberish. In the other direction, a CSV becomes an XLSX file with column widths calculated based on the content. For files with multiple sheets, you can switch between them and download each sheet as a separate CSV or all of them at once. The preview shows the first 12 rows along with the total row and column count. The file is read entirely in your browser and never leaves your computer.
This is a known issue with CSV files. The tool adds a special marker to the beginning of the file that tells Excel to open it correctly in Hebrew.
A CSV file only saves values, without formulas or formatting. This is a limitation of the format itself.
A comma. If your Excel opens everything in a single column, open the file using the import data from text option and select comma as the delimiter.
The tool takes the values exactly as they appear in Excel, including date and number formatting. A date displayed as 01/05/2026 will be written exactly like that in the CSV.
Klix could not load
Try reloading the page first. If a new version just went out, a reload fixes it straight away.
If reloading did not help, your browser may be too old. Klix runs the tools on your own device rather than on a server, so it needs a browser from 2022 or later. What to do: update Chrome or Firefox, then open klixtools.com again.
