Know exactly where your leads are coming from
UTM tags on your link show you in Analytics exactly which channel delivers results, whether it is Facebook, Google, or a newsletter. This tool builds the link for you without errors. You paste the landing page URL, choose a source like facebook, instagram, google, tiktok, linkedin, newsletter, or whatsapp, and pick a medium like cpc, social, or email. You can add a campaign name and ad variation, and any spaces in them are automatically replaced with an underscore. Existing URL parameters are preserved. This lets you compare campaigns and different ads within the same campaign, so you know what is worth paying for.
The source is where the user came from, like facebook or google. The medium is the type of advertising, like cpc for a sponsored ad, email, or social. The campaign is the campaign name, like sale2026.
It is a field to mark a variation within the same campaign, for example video_a versus image_b. This shows you which specific ad inside the campaign brought in more traffic.
A space in a URL turns into %20 and makes reports confusing. An underscore remains readable and keeps a consistent naming convention across all links.
No. The tool adds the UTM tags alongside the existing parameters and does not delete them.
In this tool, sources and mediums are selected from a fixed list, and utm_term is not included. For a different tag, you can edit the generated link and replace the value manually.
In Google Analytics 4, under the Traffic acquisition report, sorted by session source and medium. The data only appears after users click through the tagged link.

Try reloading the page first. If a new version just went out, a reload fixes it straight away.
If reloading did not help, your browser may be too old. Klix runs the tools on your own device rather than on a server, so it needs a browser from 2022 or later. What to do: update Chrome or Firefox, then open klixtools.com again.
