Unit price and deal calculator

Find out which package is actually cheaper

Compares the unit price between several packages, even when they are in different sizes and have different promotions. You enter the price, quantity, and unit of measurement, and get the price per 100 grams or 100 ml, so you can compare a kilo to 350 grams without doing the math in your head. The tool also separates two questions that often get confused. It shows how much the deal actually saves, and how many you need to buy to get it. Three for the price of two is a third off, not half off, and it is only worth it if you actually need three. Everything is calculated in the browser.

Frequently asked questions

Why can I not compare grams to liters?

Because it is meaningless. The tool recognizes that there are units from two different families and does not declare a winner, instead of showing a number that looks correct but is not.

Is three for the price of two half price?

No. You pay for two to get three, meaning two thirds of the price, which is a third in savings. This is one of the most common mistakes made at the shelf.

Is the deal always worth it?

Only if you need the quantity. A deal that forces you to buy three is not a saving when you only need one, so the tool also shows how many you must buy and not just the percentage.

How do I compare aluminum foil or eggs?

By the unit on the package. You enter aluminum foil in meters or centimeters and get a price per meter, while eggs or diapers are entered by units and you get a price per unit.

Can I compare a percentage discount deal?

Yes. For each product, you choose no deal, a certain amount for the price of another, or a percentage discount, and the tool shows the unit price after the discount and the savings percentage.
