Frequently asked questions

Will the code work forever?

Yes. The code contains the actual information, like a link or text, and does not rely on any external service that might shut down. Unlike services that generate a short link routing through their servers, there is nothing here that will expire.

What size should I download for printing?

You can choose up to 1000 by 1000 pixels, which is enough for most prints. As a rule, a code on a sign should be about one tenth of the scanning distance. A sign scanned from 2 meters away needs a code of about 20 centimeters.

Why is the scan not working?

Common reasons include a code that is too small for the distance, low contrast, or printing on a dark background. A dark code on a light background scans best, and you should leave white margins around it.

How do I make a WiFi QR code?

Select the WiFi tab, fill in the network name and password, and choose the encryption type. A guest scanning the code connects without typing a password, which is useful for businesses and hosting.
