See how many tokens your text uses and how much it costs
A calculator that shows how many tokens a text or prompt consumes, and how much it will cost to send it as input to a language model based on official pricing. The count updates as you type and is displayed alongside the character count, word count, and token-to-word ratio. The cost is calculated for three common models according to July 2026 prices, and applies only to the input, excluding the model's response. The counting is done using an open tokenizer loaded into the browser, making it an estimate, as every model breaks down text slightly differently. The text you paste is never sent to any server.
Language models break Hebrew into more pieces than English, roughly 2 to 3 times more tokens for the same text length. You can see this directly in the token-to-word ratio.
It is a close estimate. The tool uses a single tokenizer, and each model breaks down text slightly differently, so the actual number might vary a bit.
No. The displayed price is for the input text only. The output is priced separately, and for the models in the table, an output token is 5 times more expensive than an input token.
No. The tokenizer loads into your browser and the counting runs locally, so you can safely paste prompts containing internal information.
Shorten repetitive instructions, remove unnecessary formatting, and when possible, write long prompts in English, which consumes fewer tokens than Hebrew.

Try reloading the page first. If a new version just went out, a reload fixes it straight away.
If reloading did not help, your browser may be too old. Klix runs the tools on your own device rather than on a server, so it needs a browser from 2022 or later. What to do: update Chrome or Firefox, then open klixtools.com again.
