Paste a URL and get a list of findings in plain English
A quick checkup for an existing website where you paste a URL and get a list of findings in plain English about what is missing in the page code. The Klix server loads the page and checks nine things: HTTPS, title and its length, description and its length, social tags and sharing image, favicon, language definition and RTL directionality, image alt text, a single H1 tag, and page code weight along with response time. Each finding is marked as valid, a warning, or an issue, with an overall score at the top. This is especially useful after building with AI, because these are exactly the things that get forgotten. The scan requires logging into an account.
No. The tool reads the HTML code and reports what is missing in it. For a full speed measurement, there are dedicated tools like PageSpeed.
If the images are loaded with JavaScript after the page opens, they do not appear in the initial code and are therefore not counted.
No. Only the URL you pasted is checked, after following redirects. To check an internal page, paste its full URL.
The URL you pasted is sent to the Klix server, which loads the page code from it and reads it. You can only check public websites, and internal addresses like localhost are blocked.
It is the percentage of checks that came out valid. A warning and an issue both count as invalid, so you should read the findings themselves and not just rely on the number.
Klix could not load
Try reloading the page first. If a new version just went out, a reload fixes it straight away.
If reloading did not help, your browser may be too old. Klix runs the tools on your own device rather than on a server, so it needs a browser from 2022 or later. What to do: update Chrome or Firefox, then open klixtools.com again.
