See how your site looks on Google and WhatsApp before live
This tool writes the tags that determine what Google shows in search results and what appears when your link is sent on WhatsApp. Fill in a title, description, URL, business name, and the URL of a sharing image, and see how it will look on Google and in a WhatsApp bubble as you type. The character counter warns you when the title exceeds 60 characters or the description exceeds 155, which is where Google starts cutting them off. The generated code includes title, description, canonical, Open Graph tags, and Twitter tags. Every value is sanitized so that quotes inside the text will not break the tag. Everything runs in your browser.
A title up to 60 characters, and a description up to 155. Beyond that, Google cuts it off in the middle of the sentence.
Because it is missing Open Graph tags, especially og:image. This tool generates them.
A tag that tells Google the official URL of the page, so the same page is not counted twice, for example with and without www. The tool takes it from the website URL field, so make sure it is filled with the correct address.
WhatsApp and Facebook cache the preview of a link that has already been sent. On Facebook, you can refresh it using the Sharing Debugger tool. On WhatsApp, it sometimes helps to send the link with an addition at the end, like ?v=2.
No. In most cases it uses it, but it may show a different snippet from the page if that snippet is more relevant to the search. A description that accurately describes the page increases the chance it will be shown.
Klix could not load
Try reloading the page first. If a new version just went out, a reload fixes it straight away.
If reloading did not help, your browser may be too old. Klix runs the tools on your own device rather than on a server, so it needs a browser from 2022 or later. What to do: update Chrome or Firefox, then open klixtools.com again.
