Type your items and get a beautifully designed menu
A tool for building a printed menu for a restaurant, cafe, or event. You type one line per item in the format of a name, a vertical pipe, and a price. A line without a price automatically becomes a category header. Prices are aligned into a single column, and long names are truncated with an ellipsis instead of wrapping under the price. There are four sizes available: A4, A5, a narrow 10 by 21 cm layout, and a 10 by 14 cm table tent, along with six design themes. The menu is exported as a 300 DPI PDF with a 3 mm bleed and crop marks, and a mockup display shows how it will look printed. Everything runs in your browser with no server uploads.
A line without a vertical pipe and without a price becomes a category header. This lets you divide the menu without filling out extra fields.
It is truncated at the end of the line with an ellipsis. This ensures the price stays in place and both columns remain readable.
Yes. The A4 size is suitable for a home printer, while the other sizes are designed for a professional print shop.
When the list is longer than the available space on the page, the items that do not fit are not drawn. Switch to a larger size, like A5 to A4, or split the list into two menus.
The price is printed exactly as you typed it after the vertical pipe. If you want a currency symbol, write it in the line, for example $42, and keep the same format across all lines.
Klix could not load
Try reloading the page first. If a new version just went out, a reload fixes it straight away.
If reloading did not help, your browser may be too old. Klix runs the tools on your own device rather than on a server, so it needs a browser from 2022 or later. What to do: update Chrome or Firefox, then open klixtools.com again.
