Designed signs in print ready sizes
A sign generator for businesses, including open and closed signs, operating hours, customer instructions, door signs, and large storefront window displays. Every sign has a headline, a secondary line, and a bottom line for hours or a phone number. The headline is intentionally limited to two lines because a sign is read from a distance. A sign that requires someone to stand right in front of it to read four lines is no longer a sign. Text size is determined by the sign dimensions, so there is nothing to adjust. There are four sizes: A4, A3, a 15 by 20 cm door sign, and a half meter by 70 cm poster. The file is exported as a PDF with bleed and crop marks, in six design themes. Everything is created in your browser without uploading to a server.
A sign is read from a distance and in a single second. Limiting the headline to two lines forces you to keep it brief, which is exactly what makes a sign effective.
No. A half meter sign is viewed from a distance, and at the density the tool selects, it looks completely sharp. A higher density would exceed browser limits and produce a blank file.
Yes. It is in the exact dimensions, with a 3 mm bleed on all sides and crop marks. The colors are in the RGB color space and the print shop will convert them to CMYK, so highly saturated colors might turn out slightly different.
Not in this version. The sign is built from text on a background with a decoration based on the design theme you chose.
